Arielle Gray

Arielle Gray is a lens based artist, an Alabama native and a graduate from the Yale School of Art (c/o ‘23). Gray’s work considers facets of Black life in America, while exploring notions of intimacy between lovers, friends, and family. Raised by Southern Black women, she is continuously searching for connection, strength and resilience in her subjects. Gray has been a recipient of the Aperture Creator Labs Fund (‘21), a guest writer for the Guggenheim Academic Engagement Group, and has created images for T Magazine, The New York Times, ProPublica, and The New Yorker.
