Carl Kiilsgaard
Carl Kiilsgaard (b. 1986) is a husband, father, and native Oregonian who currently lives in Portland. As an “on again off again” photographer Carl currently spends his time as the manager of daddy daycare as well as running a fledgling online curatorial business of sorts. His relationship with the photographic medium is one fraught with anger, mistrust, and rabid introspection. Having been in the quote-unquote belly of the beast during his brief fling with the journalism industry he became disillusioned with both society and the typical norms of what most consider to be journalistic credence after events in the summer of 2016. Carl has found solace in the ability to photograph the beauty of his son's journey into life.
