Cynthia Henebry

Cynthia Henebry (b. 1973) is a Richmond-based photographer whose images explore contemporary family life, often presenting a child's perspective. Exhibitions of her work include the National Portrait Gallery (Washington, DC); the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (Richmond, VA); Sweet Briar College (Sweet Briar, VA); the Houston Center for Photography; the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art (Kansas City); Page Bond Gallery (Richmond, VA); and the Tacoma Art Museum (Tacoma, WA), to name a few. Henebry's work is collected by Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (Richmond, VA); Capitol One (Richmond, VA), and numerous private collections. She completed her MFA in Photography/Film from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014.
