BORROWING FROM THE COLLECTION
The mission of The Do Good Fund is to make its collection of over 800 photographic images of the American South broadly accessible to the public through regional museums, nonprofit galleries, and nontraditional venues and to encourage complimentary community-based programming to accompany each exhibition.
Browse our full collection and develop your own curatorial perspective, considering different themes and image groupings. Our staff is available to help refine wish lists and confirm artwork availability. To assist in exhibition planning, 30 images require approximately 150 linear feet of wall space.
We are now booking 2026–27 exhibitions.
* Potential exhibition venues must be able to provide display environments with constant temperature and humidity levels, limited light exposure, as well as adequate security, which might include security cameras, locked entryways, and/or security personnel.
Examples of previous exhibition venues are available on our Exhibitions page.

SOUTHERN BELLE REDUX: A TURN-KEY EXHIBITION
Our inaugural Curatorial Fellow, Emily Rena Williams, joined the Do Good team for three months, getting to know the collection and developing the conceptual framework for our turn-key exhibition, Southern Belle Redux. We’re pleased to present Southern Belle Redux as a resource to organizations with limited curatorial staff; sequenced images, ready-to-hang framed work and labels, and templates for printed exhibition material and social media make Southern Belle Redux a tool for straightforward exhibition planning and installation.
Southern Belle Redux interrogates the current turn towards the restrictive, traditional conceptions of the Southern Belle by featuring the work of contemporary photographers who explicitly challenge these notions with photographs which redefine and expand the construction of Southern femininity. These images will be showcased alongside images that, while not directly addressing the subject, expand our understanding of who and what inform Southern femininity. This show pushes the viewer to understand Southern femininity beyond its traditional class, race, ethnic, age, and gender lines.
