Ted Partin

Ted Partin (b. 1977) uses analog and experimental photographic processes in his intimate portraits of both friends and strangers. His black-and-white images, taken with an 8 x 10 Deardorff field camera, are simultaneously alluring and tense, while his cibachrome color works expand the potential of color photography. Partin received his MFA from Yale School of Art in 2004. In 2005, he was selected to be a part of the exhibition ReGeneration: 50 Photographers of Tomorrow at the Musée de l'Eysee, Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2010, he had his first solo exhibition, Eyes Look Through You, which included an accompanying publication of the same name. In 2016, he was appointed lecturer in photography at Yale School of Art. Partin is a Senior Lecturer in Photography at Rowan University.
